“God has a reason for me coming down here to BYU. I don’t know the purpose right now, but I’m just trusting God to lead the way,” says Gideon. The path Gideon is on is an inspiring one. He recently led a Sneakers4Africa shoe drive, and he partnered with basketball fans, the BYU Black Student Union, the BYU Global Supply Chain Association, and Timeout4Africa to do so. As a result, Gideon’s shoe drive has sent over 5,000 pairs of shoes to his home country, Nigeria. “I just thank God because of His grace and His mercy towards us and His love,” says Gideon. We thank you, Gideon, for being a wonderful example of love, hard work, positivity, and service.
